Lorre Lynn Trytten
Lorre Lynn Trytten was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, where she was one of Margery Aber's first local students in the nationally acclaimed Suzuki program. After graduating cum laude from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in violin performance, she moved to the Netherlands, where she studied baroque violin, violin, composition and conducting in Amsterdam and Utrecht. She has performed and recorded with various classical ensembles, jazz, bluegrass, latin and pop groups. Her compositions have been performed in Europe, Japan and the United States. She has conducted several groups, including the Paradise Regained Orchestra and the Xenakis Ensemble. Omval 76 |
Recently at Jumping Icecubes2011 has seen Lorre active as violinist and composer in both the US and the Netherlands. Her composition "Swingin' set for String Quartet," published by Muziekcentrum Nederland, was premiered in April by Klimt! September saw the appearance of her new CD, "Liebesleid: Fritz Kreisler Vol. 2 Revisited." It is a new selection of favorite pieces by the Austrian-American violinist-composer and a follow-up to an earlier CD, "Viennese Fantasietta: Fritz Kreisler Vol. 1 The Originals." Both CDs were recorded with pianist Marian Bolt. Now based in Florida, Lorre will continue to work internationally. Jumping Icecubes LLC |
