Lorre Lynn Trytten
Lorre Lynn Trytten was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, where she was one of Margery Aber's first local students in the nationally acclaimed Suzuki program. After graduating cum laude from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in violin performance, she moved to the Netherlands, where she studied baroque violin, violin, composition and conducting in Amsterdam and Utrecht. She has performed and recorded with various classical ensembles, jazz, bluegrass, latin and pop groups. Her compositions have been performed in Europe, Japan and the United States. Recently at Jumping IcecubesIn 2007 Lorre wrote and performed a multi-media violin concerto with the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra in her home town of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. 2008 was filled with playing, recording and composing. In June of 2009 the string quartet Klimt! released the CD "Kiss the Guitar Player." As well as being a member of the quartet, Lorre wrote two tracks for the CD and arranged another two. Also in 2009, the jazz choir Biltstars recorded "C," written by Lorre with lyrics by Huub Oosterhuis, on the CD "Lekker Kruimig." Now based in Florida, Lorre will continue to work internationally.
